Preserve image meta data
Hi, I'd like to preserve the copyright meta data for images uploaded and resized in Perch admin. My research had led me to think this isn't possible with GD as the image processing library so I've activated Imagemagick and set it in the config file. The copyright meta data is still removed though. Any ideas? Is it possible?

We don't do anything to copy the metadata across. Typically people want to strip the metadata, as it bloats the image size.
Ok thanks Drew. Yes, normally I'd want to strip the image meta data but in this particular case I'd hoped to retain it.
I think it would actively need to be copied from one file to the other, which is effectively what I'm doing with the pixels.
Is this EXIF or IPTC data?
I believe it is IPTC data.
I'll take a look at see if it's something we can add an option for, but at the current time I don't think there's anything that will help immediately.
