Modifying core files

Hi, Are we allowed to modify the core files of perch framework to show some custom HTML controls in editors? does it attract some penalties if we do this?

Once you have modified core files we no longer offer support, as we can't be sure what code has been altered.

Support is conditional on Core and any addons being unmodified.

Hi Damian,

Depending on what you want to customise, it might be possible to update the 'editor' rather than core files. For example you can add extra plugins or functionality to Redactor or CKEditor, without editing core files. What were you hoping to do?
