Shop Importer API Variants
Hi,
My client is currently compiling a spreadsheet of their products together and I was wondering whether it is possible to add variants using the Importer API. I've had a look at the docs and can't see mention of this. From the look of the data sent through so far there will be sizes and colours, with different image previews per one.

No, you need to create the options and then let Runway generate the variants.
Thanks for the reply - does that mean that once they are created in the admin side, the importer will automatically add the chil d products or would it be a case of only importing the master products and generating the variants within the CMS?
Nothing happens automatically. You'd need to click the "generate variants" button for a product that has variants.
OK, thanks for clarifying. I'll filter out the duplicates before import and manually generate the variants then - it should still save time with the amount of products the client has!
