ok updated core on my dev, re-saved the cat, and the collections just incase. same issue.

can you give me access to a beta, correct me if i'm wrong but replacing the core doesn't prompt any change however when i upgrade this initiates some scripts when i log in initially. Is it possible to see if this kicks it into action?

Also is there any chance my database could show anything?

ok for now i've used the work-around of adding another select field to my template with slug, the same options as my cat's and I now filter on this.
