Can Redactor be upgraded?

I’m just reading another excellent article of from Clive Walker.

https://www.cvwdesign.com/blog/how-to-customise-redactor-editor-in-perch.

However, this now seems out of date? https://imperavi.com/redactor/plugins/ no longer lists ‘Source’ as a plugin.

So Perch must be using an older version of Redactor. Can Redactor be upgraded?

There's a new Redactor 3 out, which we'll upgrade to once we're happy it's stable.

You can add your own version of Redactor if you need to - just give it a different name.

Great thanks Drew,

Adding my own version seems overkill when all I wait is the 'source' feature. I'll see if one other default editors enables this feature

If you just want to enable a configuration option, you can do that without upgrading it. See "Custom configurations for default editors"

https://docs.grabaperch.com/api/editors/

Hi Drew,

Yes I found that article, however, unless I have misunderstood, the custom configurations for default editors requires

/addons/plugins/editors/redactor-plugins/source.js

This is no longer available on the https://imperavi.com/redactor/plugins/ webpage as it's now part of the default app

Hi Grant, I have a copy of the source.js if you want it and several other of the 'old' redactorV2 plugins
