Image cropping & upscaling

Hi,

Have any options for upscaling cropped images been implemented in Perch yet? I'm still encountering the problems discussed here: https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/04-08-2016-image-cropping

I'm upgrading an old site from Perch to Runway 3 and also implementing responsive images but the layout breaks because the larger crops (i.e. larger than the original image uploaded by the client) are not being cropped to the correct proportions / aspect ratio.

It would be great if Perch could be forced to crop to the specified aspect ratio and upscale the image when the original is smaller than the output in any dimension?

We don't currently have any plans to add image upscaling.

Hi Adam, Perch won't upscale.

As a fallback you may want to add CSS to your site to force the image to be the desired width/height to prevent the layout from breaking.
