Perch 3 assets overlay «flashes» and disappears
When I click the "Select or upload an image" or "Select or upload a file" links when they're inside a block, the assets overlay "flashes" (it shows up for a fraction of second and closes) and it locks the page scroll (by not removing "dialog-open" class from the body tag).
This is what happens: https://www.dunderverk.no/dv-cms/resources/perch-3-assets-flashes.gif Similar problem here: https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/04-12-2017-perch-blocks-select-or-upload-an-image-wont-engage-the-asset-library
Is it possible to fix this asap? The customer is waiting.
Thank you!
DR
We have it logged, thanks.
Thank you Drew. When can we expect that this will be fixed? It is urgent.
Stig.
Certainly not on a holiday weekend. Is this an upgrade or a new install? If it's an upgrade, you should probably stick with Perch 2 if it's urgent.
This is a new update. We were supposed to launch this site before easter, but now it´s delayed until this is solved. It is not intended to push, we're just a little stressed with the launch. Thank you.
I'm going to be looking at it this week.
Thank you Drew. I meant New Install :-)
I also have this problem after upgrading to Runway 3.0. I use blocks with image upload in my Blogs on all my customers sites. Drew, do you have a quick-fix for this? Or an Perch update coming very soon solving this?
As Drew explained 2 messages up, he is looking at this this week.
I can see that. We hope for a quick fix for this, thanks! We were forced to upgrade to 3.0.1 to fix a content custom problem (https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/03-31-2017-perch-content-custom-and-invalid-query-sqlstate42000), and can't go back to a previous version of Perch unfortunately.
Wondering if there will be an update before the weekend?
Thank you!
There should be, but as you can see, the forum is pretty busy and taking a lot of my time.
Perhaps it will help if I add my own experience.
I have blocks, each with a text area and then the ability to select one, two or 3 images, depending on the Block selected.
I also get the "flash" that allows cursor movement but no scrolling. A work around is to Save (my introductory text, for instance) and then the image can be loaded from Assets as expected.
If I am selecting two or three images (depending on the Block selected), the problem occurs only when selecting the first image. If I Save and then load a first image, I can proceed to select a 2nd or 3rd image without problem.
The problem seems to occur only on selecting an initial image, no matter which Block I am using.
