what im trying to do is
if i add product 1 and product 2 to the cart a discount is automaticly applied
is this possible ?
or a promotion code that only works for specific products

Promotions for specific products and product categories are on the roadmap but not available yet.

I have a project due by September and needing a few of the features in the road map
If not I think I would need to find a alternative shop
If you need features that aren't implemented yet, it's not wise to bank on it. There's every chance those features will be implemented before September, but unless you're looking to sponsor their development I can't guarantee it.
