Resources files not displayed on staging domain
After uploading a whole project on an ftp, I often have the problem that some of the resource files (jpg/pdf) are not displayed in the website. However they are in the resourcee folder and all worked well on the development domain. This happens in Perch3 and did in Perch2 as well. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
As long as all the paths are the same there should be no problem. Are they 404ing? You've not given us any information that would allow us to help.
Pathes are the same, I don't get an 404. So unfortunately there is not more to say. But possibly I found the problem: I named a resource folder using the letter ü. Maybe that's a problem?
So if they don't load but they don't 404, what's happening?
What I see is the a placeholder icon and alt-text.
What HTTP status code are you getting for the image requests?
Sorry, you were right ist was a 404 (Not Found).
Ok. What URL are you getting and what should it be?
The URL and the path of the images are okay: /perch/resources/bucket_name/image.jpg As I can't find any problem in the code I think I'll check with the next project to see if the problem was the naming of the bucket...
