How to hide: 'Template tag ID ‘my-template-name’ contains disallowed characters'

I have a number of sites that were made a while back that I used hyphenated templates that are now showing the following warnings to me clients. Is there anyway to hide these messages as going though and renaming everything would be a bit of a nightmare.
