Link to another page within the markdown using ID number

Is it possible to link to another page from within the markdown in the admin control panel using the page's ID number, rather than specifying its URL which may change?

The visitor to the website would still see the normal page URL when they hover over such a link, but should the URL ever be changed then it will be automatically updated.

The site is using Perch Runway.
