Some recently launched Perch sites
We recently designed and developed a few new Perch websites!
The Ballyvolane House Spirits Company (home of Bertha's Revenge Gin) - https://ballyvolanespirits.ie
A craft distillery from Cork in Ireland, distilling a small batch milk gin from whey alcohol ('from grass to glass'!). We used Bjorn Holine's store locator jquery plugin on the where to buy page following very helpful recommendations from Clive Walker & Paul Stone here: https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/07-17-2014-building-a-store-locator - thanks guys! We added a few store category check boxes to filter the map markers and may have to add marker clustering when/if things get overcrowded.
Manage Back Pain - https://managebackpain.com
Launched earlier this year, this is an extensive resource of information and helpful tips on managing back related pain written by Sally Ann Quirke, an experienced chartered physiotherapist who runs her practise in Fermoy, Co. Cork (Ireland). This was our first Perch Runway build and involved painstakingly porting and updating in the region of 200+ articles from an old fixed width site on the Sitesell platform (thankfully done by the client... phew!). Ad revenue and therefore SEO were key, so going responsive was a given, but Perch Runway allowed us to build a very search friendly structure using collections for the articles and categories for the navigation & content hierarchy. Performance was also key for SEO so thankfully Runway seems well up to mark for building a fast and lean sites.
Much use was made of blocks to make it easy for the client to assemble the articles, allowing them to drop in text blocks, responsive images and the all important ad snippets where needed. Happy to say ad revenue doubled within 6 months and traffic steadily increases.
Lisnavagh, a private country estate in Carlow - https://lisnavagh.com
Another simple Perch site incorporating a blog for a family run historic house that hosts weddings, yoga retreats, corporate events as well as providing accommodation in the stable yard and on various estate cottages. This presented a challenge to incorporate a fairly broad product offering under the one umbrella but the goal was to provide a platform for announcing upcoming retreats, showcasing the venue and to drive new enquiries.
Nice work..... and with the Store Locator!
Thanks Clive, I'm happy with how it turned out!
That store locator is really good! Interesting points on the other thread as well. Bookmarked for future reference :)
Good work on the other sites to!
