Suggestion for Blog app

This is a suggestion for the Blog app, following a request from a client.

Can there be a way of setting the postStatus default to "Draft" instead of "Publish" for new posts?

Adding a region with id="postStatus" in the post.html template and setting default="Draft" doesn't appear to do anything (though do let me know if I've missed something).
