Missing toolbar from blog post - editing of blog post required
Apologies, I am a total newbie when it comes to problem solving and am using the perch platform that has been pre-designed by a developer, so please accept my apologies if I ask what may, on the surface, seem a simple question or request.
I'm attempting to edit a blog post that has been published, however the system is not allowing me to make simple and easy edits to the text. The editing toolbar is also missing as Im assuming these issues are linked.
I may need some assistance supplying the information
Any assistance would be greatly received.
Regards
What steps are you following, what do you see, and what do you expect to see?
Hi Drew, thanks for getting back to me. On all other posts within our blog, to edit, I open the blog post and click within the 'Post' Text box and go from there, editing as normal. On the post in question though, I click in the box and it wont allow any modifications to be made, but instead highlights the outside of the box. I am able to edit the title, excerpt and sub title etc.
That's unusual. Do you get any errors in your browser console?
Hi Drew. No errors, but when I 'inspect' the page, I do have a small yellow warning triangle, which says this vendor.8255e4c4a367cfa3e2bd.js:3 jQuery.Deferred exception: $R[s][t] is not a constructor TypeError: $R[s][t] is not a constructor at Function.$R.create (<anonymous>:1:18428) at s.<anonymous> (<anonymous>:1:122441) at Dom.each (<anonymous>:1:3184) at s.observe (<anonymous>:1:122329) at s.onautoparseobserve (<anonymous>:1:136572) at App.callMessageHandler (<anonymous>:1:29674) at App.broadcast (<anonymous>:1:29866) at s.onstartcode (<anonymous>:1:147527) at App.callMessageHandler (<anonymous>:1:29674) at App.broadcast (<anonymous>:1:29866) undefined
That sounds like a problem. Can you post your diagnostics report?
Shouldnt be an issue, but you may have to tell me exactly how to pull that off the page. Apologies
It's under Settings in the control panel.
Is this what you need?
I'd suggest updating the current version, which includes a Redactor update. That may address your problem, and if not at least gives us a good place to work from.
Thanks Drew, will do. Thanks for all your help and if the problem persists post update, i'll update you
