Perch resources - move to the bucket

Hi,

my client has a problem, he has reached server quota because of 4gb of photos in resources (yeah, he's a photographer). so I've decided to add attributes bucket - to sort them a bit and remove unnecessary. my questions are:

  1. can I add this attribute to the website which is actually working without it and all images are in folder resources? what will happen?

  2. can I create bucket subfolder base on post slug? (its for the blog). for example bucket=blog/my-slug

  3. if I delete images which have been generated automatically ( for example: images-w100h100.jpg), perch will automatically regenerate it?

  1. Nothing will happen. Items are placed into buckets as they're uploaded. Already uploaded items won't change.

  2. No. Create a new bucket called 'blog' and configure its path in the buckets.php file.
