Search content after 'share across all pages'

I have a site which has a number of projects (x60) via a list and detail setup. When I search the content, everything works fine. However, when I check the project items as 'share across all pages', in order to filter the projects over number of pages, the content is no longer searchable. Is there any way to resolve this?
