Different shop cart quantities for different categories
Is it possible to restrict the quantity of products a customer can have in their cart based on the product category?
I have individual products that are available in the following quantities 2, 6, 12, 24 which I have achieved with a product template. I want to add a 'multibox' product which would be available to buy in the following quantities 1, 2, 3 ,4 etc. On the product detail and product list page I can control the quantity that can be added to the cart with a template, but at the cart stage it is then possible to select an invalid quantity.
Why not update your cart page to not allow the changing of quantities?
Thanks for you swift response Drew. That is how I'm handling it at the moment but I wondered if it is possible to display a different select box based on the product category.
