Renaming a region creates a duplicate region
I have just renamed a region using Region Options > Key
example: "Section 1" > Renamed to > "Introduction"
However when a user then loads the page on the from end, "Section 1" reappears in the backend in the list of regions as well as the "Introduction" region?
Is this a bug?
Has the page code been modified to reflect the region name change?
Nope, that must be why - I thought it was just a way of almost making an alias for the region.

Okay, Is there anyway to make an alias for a region - or a future option?
No, there's no way to do that. Each region only has one name.
