New pages - copy templates from another page?

When I create a new page, I've worked out how to make subpages only have the option of my "Bootstrap" page as the master page in Runway. The regions are created, but I still have to tell them which content template I want my new regions to use, even though the Bootstrap Master page is set to copy region options from another page. Is there something else I need to do? I'd like the client to be able to create new pages without worrying about what content template they use.
